Web push

Push campaigns

Send announcement broadcasts to subscribed shoppers with audience targeting and delivery metrics.

What campaigns are

Campaigns are one-time (or scheduled) push announcements you compose and send to some or all of your subscribers. Use them for sales, new collections, restocks, or any merchant-initiated message.

Automated pushes (abandoned checkout, shipping, etc.) are separate, see Push settings. Campaigns are for messages you write and send on demand.

Campaign list

Open Push notifications → Campaigns to see all campaigns with status, audience, schedule, and delivery metrics:

  • Devices targeted
  • Delivered count
  • Clicks and conversions
  • Click-through rate (CTR)

Duplicate or delete campaigns from the list. Saved table views let you filter and sort large campaign histories.

Create a campaign

Click Create campaign and fill in:

Content

  • Title: notification headline (keep short for mobile)
  • Body: main message text
  • Hero image: optional square or landscape image from the campaign image library or an upload
  • Action buttons: up to 2 buttons, each with a label and URL

Audience

Choose who receives the campaign:

  • All subscribers: every active opted-in device
  • Saved segment: a reusable filter set you defined earlier
  • Custom filters: one-off filters for this campaign:
    • Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
    • Operating system
    • Browser
    • Language
Each filter supports is or is not matching.

Save a custom filter set as a segment to reuse in future campaigns.

Schedule

  • Send now: deliver immediately after you confirm
  • Schedule: pick a date and time in your shop timezone

Campaign images

Rich push notifications can include a hero image. Recently provides a built-in image library with square and landscape variants. Upload custom images from the campaign editor: images are stored and served for push delivery across platforms.

On mobile devices, square images are preferred. On desktop, landscape may display larger. Recently automatically selects the best aspect ratio per device when both are available.

Best practices

  • Send sparingly: over-messaging causes unsubscribes. One or two campaigns per week is a reasonable ceiling for most stores.
  • Segment by language when you have multilingual subscribers: send localized copy to each group.
  • Use action buttons for clear CTAs (“Shop the sale”, “View collection”) instead of relying on the notification body alone.
  • Send a test to your own subscribed device before broadcasting.
  • Review CTR after send: low clicks may mean weak copy or wrong audience.
